Scope

This standard specifies the chromotropic acid spectrophotometric method for the determination of methanol in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of methanol in surface water, groundwater and wastewater in Shanxi Province. When the detection light path is 20mm, the detection limit of this standard method is 0.29 mg/L, and the lower determination limit is 1.16 mg/L.
