- This document specifies the terms and definitions, classification, characteristics and normal use conditions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitment of inductive proximity switches. This document applies to inductive cylindrical thread type proximity switches (hereinafter referred to as proximity switches) that operate by sensing metal objects. This proximity switch has a semiconductor switching element and can be used to connect circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V AC (50 Hz or 60 Hz), or 300 V DC.
