This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and classification, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of daily protective masks. This standard applies to masks that are made of non-woven fabrics or fabrics and are used in daily life to filter out dust, pollen, catkins, bacterial particles and block pollutants such as exhaled or sprayed droplets from the nasal cavity or mouth. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment for special industries such as hypoxic environments, underwater operations, escape, firefighting, medical and industrial use. This standard does not apply to mask products used by infants and young children aged 36 months and below.
