- This document specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, specimens, test equipment and instruments, test methods, test result processing and test reports for pin-on-disk friction and wear tests on metal materials at temperatures higher than room temperature. This document is applicable to the determination of wear amount and friction coefficient of metals and their composite materials under pin-disk sliding friction conditions when the temperature is higher than room temperature under auxiliary heat source heating.
