Scope

This document specifies the performance, test items, test methods, on-site use, packaging, and storage of electromagnetic shielding fabrics for ultra-high frequency (UHF) partial discharge detection. This document applies to shielding technology for on-site detection of UHF partial discharge in gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (GIS/HGIS) with rated voltage 40.5kV and above. Tank type circuit breakers and gas insulated transmission lines (GIL) with basin insulators may be implemented accordingly.
