- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage and quality commitment of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin for food packaging. This standard applies to copolymerized PET resin produced by direct esterification and continuous polycondensation using purified terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol and isophthalic acid as main raw materials.
