Scope

This standard specifies the infrared spectrophotometric method for the determination of petroleum in soil. This standard applies to the determination of petroleum in soil. When the sampling volume is 10 g, the extraction liquid volume is 50 ml, and a 40 mm quartz cuvette is used, the detection limit of the method is 4 mg/kg, and the lower determination limit is 16 mg/kg.
