This standard specifies the flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method for the determination of cobalt in water. This standard applies to the determination of soluble cobalt and total cobalt in surface water, groundwater and wastewater. The detection limit of this standard for the determination of soluble molybdenum is 0.05 mgIL, and the lower determination limit is 0.20 mgL; the detection limit of total molybdenum is 0.06 mg/L, and the lower determination limit is 0.24 mg/L.
