- This document specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and descriptions, equipment, specimens, test procedures, data processing and test reports for axial strain controlled fatigue testing of automotive thin steel plate specimens (without introducing stress concentration) at room temperature. This document is applicable to the axial loading test of automotive thin steel plates (excluding notched specimens) with a thickness not greater than 3.0mm (minimum specimen thickness 0.5mm) under constant amplitude conditions with strain control and strain ratio Re=-1. Specifying tests at other strain ratios Re can also be carried out accordingly.
