This document describes the power module loss test methods of flexible DC converter valves, including double pulse method, electrical measurement method, calorimetry method, and balance calorimetry method. The test principles, test environment, test requirements, and test systems of the above methods are given. , test procedures and loss calculations, etc. This document is applicable to the loss testing of modular multilevel converter (MMC) flexible DC converter valve power modules based on insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT). The flexible DC converter valve power module based on other types of power devices is implemented as a reference.
