- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, dismantling, sorting and cleaning, inspection, inspection and repair, assembly, performance requirements and test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of automotive automatic transmission remanufacturing. This standard applies to the remanufacturing of hydraulic automatic transmissions (AT), dual clutch automatic transmissions (DCT), and continuously variable automatic transmissions (CVT). The remanufacturing of automatic transmissions of other motor vehicles can be implemented as a reference. This standard does not apply to the remanufacturing of automatic mechanical transmissions (AMT) for automobiles.
