- This standard stipulates the required sanitary protection distance between automobile manufacturing plants and residential areas. This standard is applicable to new automobile manufacturing plants located in plains and hilly areas, as well as expansion and reconstruction projects of existing automobile manufacturing plants. Existing automobile manufacturing plants can refer to the implementation. The sanitary protection distance under complex terrain conditions should be based on the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report, jointly established by the competent department of the construction unit and the competent department of health and environmental protection of the province, city, and autonomous region where the construction project is located.
