Scope: 1.1 This test method covers the determination of the hardness of metallic materials used for electrical contacts. Rockwell, Rockwell superficial, Brinell, and microindentation hardness tests are included, along with information on the limitations and use of these tests. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard.
