This document applies to wheelchair occupant spaces (RF-WPS) for rear-facing wheelchair occupants weighing more than 22 kg on barrier-free passenger vehicles. A system suitable for use in normal and emergency driving conditions of vehicles traveling on a fixed route, where passengers can be seated or standing. This document specifies the design requirements, performance requirements and related test methods for the rear-facing wheelchair occupant system, the manufacturer's instruction requirements, the warning information requirements for installers and users, and the product labeling and testing information requirements. The main purpose of this document is to limit the movement of rear-facing wheelchairs, including scooters with three or more wheels, which may cause dangerous collisions inside the vehicle or cause injury to other occupants.
