Soil conditions Soil environmental quality should comply with the provisions of 3.1.2 in GB/Z 26580. 5.1.1.3 Irrigation water quality Irrigation water quality should comply with the provisions of 3.1.3 in GB/Z 26580. 5.1.1.4 Topography: Hilly and sloping land: Choose a gentle slope with leeward direction and sunny side, an altitude below 350m, a slope below 25°, deep and fertile soil, and good drainage and water retention. In areas prone to cold damage in winter, north-facing slopes should be avoided. Flat land: Choose a field that is not prone to flooding and has good drainage and irrigation.
