This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation, storage and shelf life requirements for ammonium glycyrrhizinate (12%). This document applies to ammonium glycyrrhizinate made from the dried roots and rhizomes of leguminous plants licorice, licorice and licorice through water (or water containing ammonia) leaching, separation, ammoniation, drying and other processes.
