This standard includes the test method to determine the coefficient of thermal expansion of electrical insulating liquids derived from petroleum and ascarels used as an insulating medium, coolant, or for both applications, in cables, transformers, power switches in oil, capacitors and other equipment. The values, expressed in units belonging to the international system, are taken as normalized. 1.3 The materials, operations and equipment used in the application of the standard may present risks. This standard is not intended to point out all the industrial safety problems related to its application. The user of the standard has the responsibility of establishing, before using it, the appropriate industrial safety and occupational health conditions and, likewise, applying the current legislation in this regard.
