Scope

This standard specifies the structure and dimensions, manufacturing methods, technical performance, quality, test methods, inspection rules, markings, etc. of high friction coefficient synthetic brake shoes for railway power and internal locomotives. This standard is applicable to dry speeds below 120km/h. High friction coefficient synthetic brake shoes (hereinafter referred to as AVA) are used for railway power and locomotives.
