- This standard only provides control requirements for the hardness of welds such as pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping exposed to wet acidic oil and gas environments containing hydrogen sulfide. This standard is mainly applicable to welds of high-quality low carbon steel and low alloy steel materials with a yield strength lower than 360MPa that comply with the "Requirements for Metal Materials Resistant to Sulfide Stress Cracking in Natural Gas Ground Facilities" SY/I 0599.
