- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of stannous chloride. This standard applies to industrial stannous chloride produced by the reaction of metallic tin and hydrochloric acid. This product is mainly used in the mirror-making and electroplating industries, and is also used as a reducing agent, mordant and bleaching agent.
