Scope

This standard specifies the format and content of detailed specifications for ceramic vacuum switching tubes for contactors. This standard applies to ceramic vacuum switch tubes for contactors with AC 50Hz (or 60Hz) and rated operating voltage 10kV and below (vacuum switch tubes are also called vacuum interrupters, hereinafter referred to as switch tubes).
