This standard specifies the spectrophotometric determination of sulfide in water using p-aminodimethylaniline. This method is suitable for the determination of water and wastewater with sulfide content less than 1mg/L. The minimum detectable concentration of this method is 0.02mg/L (S2-), and the upper limit of determination is 0.8mg/L. When the acidification-air blowing pretreatment method is used, the detected concentration can be further reduced. Reduce sampling volume as appropriate. The measured concentration can reach 4mg/L.
