- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of ultrasonic flow meters for velocity measurement using ultrasonic acoustic pulse propagation time difference method. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic flow meters using the acoustic pulse transit time method for flow velocity measurement in rivers and channels. Ultrasonic flow meters not suitable for Doppler shift technology.
