- This standard specifies the content and procedures for wet analysis of the chemical composition of barite, as well as X-ray fluorescence analysis procedures. This standard applies to the analysis of the main chemical components of samples used to increase the density of drilling fluids. If you want to infer its mineral composition, you still need to combine wet analysis with X-ray fluorescence analysis for structural analysis.
