Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of plunger fuel injection pumps for diesel locomotive engines (hereinafter referred to as fuel injection pumps). This standard applies to single fuel injection pumps and in-line fuel injection pumps for internal locomotive diesel engines.
