This standard specifies the terminology, safety requirements, test methods, and quality assessment rules for explosion-proof lamps (hereinafter referred to as lamps). This standard applies to explosion-proof lamps with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V and using incandescent lamps, tungsten halogen lamps, fluorescent bulbs (including compact fluorescent lamps), high-pressure mercury lamps and high-pressure sodium lamps as light sources. Note: Except for high-pressure mercury lamps and high-pressure sodium lamps, other high-intensity discharge lamps should have their internal discharge elements analyzed and can only be used after being tested and approved by the explosion-proof inspection department. This standard does not apply to explosion-proof lamps with low-pressure sodium lamps as light sources. This standard does not apply to lamps in hazardous locations where explosive dust and explosive gas mixtures coexist.
