Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, marking and packaging of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed symmetrical cables for digital office use. This standard applies to the manufacture, acceptance and use of cables. Cables are mainly used for short-segment connections within or between digital switching equipment, with a maximum transmission frequency of 1OMHz. It can also be used for short-range connections within or between other digital devices.
