- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of stainless steel wire, ordering content, classification and size, appearance, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates. This standard applies to stainless steel wire (hereinafter referred to as steel wire), but does not include stainless steel wire for cold items and welding, and does not include austenitic and precipitation hardening stainless steel wire.
