Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for the selection, installation, use and maintenance of steam traps in the steam pipe network and steam equipment of the pharmaceutical industry. This standard is applicable to steam pipelines and equipment traps with nominal pressure P|(4) less than or equal to 6.4 MPa, nominal diameter less than or equal to 100 mm, and medium temperature t less than or equal to 400°C.
