This standard specifies laboratory test methods for reliability testing of electrocardiograph products, including reliability verification tests and reliability determination tests, to assess or estimate the reliability characteristics of the product. This standard assumes that the electrocardiograph is a repairable product and that the life distribution follows an exponential distribution, that is, the failure rate is constant. The reliability characteristic quantity adopts the average life, that is, the average time between two adjacent faults MTBF (also known as the mean working time between failures). This standard is applicable to the reliability testing of various models of single-channel or multi-channel electrocardiographs used in general environments.
