Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for sterile, single-use drainage catheters, wound drainage systems and related components designed to drain fluids outside the body by gravity or negative pressure. This standard does not apply to: a) Tubes with an outer diameter less than 2 mm; b) Suction catheters for respiratory tract (see YY 0339); c) Tracheal intubation (see YY 0337). Note: For urethral catheters, see YY 0325.
