- This standard specifies the requirements for single-use sterile hydrocephalus shunts and their components. This standard applies to, but is not limited to: a) Completed single-piece, single-use sterile hydrocephalus shunts; b) Completed multi-piece, single-use sterile hydrocephalus shunts, assembled and supplied by the manufacturer . Or supplied in complete sets and assembled by doctors; c) Components of sterile single-use shunts (separate or matched). Such as valves, valved catheters (valved catheters), inlet or outlet catheters (such as arterial catheters, peritoneal catheters, venous catheters), connectors, implantable auxiliary devices (such as anti-siphon devices, measuring devices and reservoirs, perfusion device).
