Scope

This standard specifies the laboratory measurement and calculation methods of the acoustic wave velocity (or time difference), elastic modulus and attenuation coefficient of rock samples. This standard is applicable to the laboratory determination of the acoustic wave characteristics of rock samples using the ultrasonic pulse transmission method.
