- This standard specifies the technical requirements for implementing pipeline geometric deformation detection and metal loss detection. Provisions are made on construction preparation, construction procedure control, test report content and acceptance methods. This standard is applicable to onshore inspection of steel pipelines whose conveying media are gases and liquids. Inspection of steel pipelines whose conveying media are gases and liquids on the seabed can be carried out with reference to this standard.
