This standard is applicable to the distinction between endemic fluorosis disease areas and non-disease areas and the evaluation of the effectiveness of prevention and control measures. This standard is also applicable to the evaluation of population fluoride exposure. This standard does not apply to the individual diagnosis of patients with endemic fluorosis.
