Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the viscosity (apparent viscosity) of crude oil using a rotational viscometer and drawing the viscosity-temperature curve of crude oil. This standard is suitable for determining the viscosity-temperature curve of crude oil with a water content not exceeding 0.5%, from 80°C to 10°C below the freezing point, and a shear rate of 1 to 1×10^(3)s^(-1).
