- This standard specifies the test method for measuring the static strength of internal locomotives and electric locomotive bogie frames (hereinafter referred to as the frame) using resistance strain gauges. This standard applies to diesel locomotive and electric locomotive structures. The static strength test of power-driven frames such as electric multiple units, diesel multiple units, and electric subway buses can also refer to this standard.
