- This standard specifies the calibration methods of instruments and meters used in the physical property analysis of formation crude oil, the inspection of oil and gas samples, and the preparation, sample transfer, analytical testing and calculation methods of formation crude oil. This standard is applicable to general formation crude oil. Plunger or piston type PVT instruments can be used. Other types of PVT instruments can be implemented with reference.
