- This standard specifies the sampling, testing methods and test result determination for mercury content testing of import and export button batteries. This standard is applicable to the inspection of mercury content in imported and exported zinc-silver oxide button batteries, alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide button batteries, and zinc-air button batteries. This standard does not apply to the inspection of lithium button batteries and fluorocarbon button batteries.
