- This standard specifies the methods for laboratory reliability testing and field reliability testing of television transmitters and differential transmitters. This standard is applicable to the reliability qualification test and acceptance test of television transmitters and differential transmitters whose failure patterns obey exponential distribution. It can also be used as the basis for formulating test methods such as reliability growth test, verification test and measurement test for developing prototypes and trial production equipment. This standard does not apply to equipment with parallel systems.
