Scope

This standard specifies the determination of nitrate nitrogen in water using ultraviolet spectrophotometry. This method is suitable for the determination of nitrate nitrogen in clean surface water and groundwater that is not obviously contaminated. The minimum detection concentration is 0.08 mg/L, and the upper limit of measurement is 4 mg/L nitrate nitrogen.
