- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of automotive interior parts coating products (including solvent-based and water-based coatings). This standard applies to solvent-based and water-based heat-curing coatings for automotive plastic interior parts. Various products include but are not limited to single-component and two-component products. Various types of coatings can include primers, color paints, varnishes and other coatings used for coating original passenger car interior plastic parts.
