Scope
This standard specifies the measurement of sound pressure levels on the measuring surface of an imaginary envelope sound source in a test environment with a free sound field above a reflecting plane. The noise and sound power level of leather machinery (including tanning machinery, fur machinery and leather shoe machinery, hereinafter referred to as leather machinery) is measured using the engineering method for calculating sound power level. The data obtained is used to evaluate or compare the acoustic performance of leather machine products. This standard is applicable to all types of leather machines that emit steady-state or unsteady-state broadband noise or narrow-band noise. It is not applicable to leather machines that emit pulse noise and whose linear dimensions (length, width or height) exceed 15m. This standard is compiled based on the principles of engineering methods in GB3767 "Determination of Sound Power Level of Noise Sources - Engineering and Quasi-Engineering Methods". IS03744 "Acoustics - Determination of sound power level of noise sources - Engineering method applicable to free field conditions on a reflecting plane" was also referenced in the preparation. The terminology, quantities, units and symbols used in the standard comply with the provisions of relevant national standards such as GB3947 "Acoustic Terminology" and GB3102.7 "Acoustic Quantities and Units".
