- This standard specifies the product classification, raw materials, product specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) pipes. The standard applies to extruded pipes (hereinafter referred to as pipes) with ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene as the main raw material and the addition of other components not exceeding 5%. The pipes specified in this standard are suitable for transporting water, slurry, powder, granular solids, certain corrosive chemical liquids below 45°C, and fluids at low temperatures.
