Scope

The standard specifies the definition, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles for hot filling. The standard applies to plastic bottles for hot filling that are injection molded, stretched, and blow molded using polyethylene terephthalate resin as the main raw material for bottles.
