Scope

This standard specifies the general method for the determination of acidity and alkalinity by titration analysis. This standard applies to the determination of acids and bases in water-soluble liquid reagents. Water-soluble acids and bases in water-insoluble liquid reagents can also be determined in water phase by this method after extraction with water. When using this standard to determine acidity or alkalinity, the maximum allowable volume of alkali standard milling solution or acid standard solution used should not be less than 0.imL based on the specification value and sampling volume.
