Scope

This standard specifies the principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, analysis steps and result expression for the determination of soil cation exchange capacity and exchangeable base. This standard is suitable for the determination of cation exchange capacity and exchangeable base of neutral soil, and can also be used for slightly acidic soil containing less 2:1 type clay minerals.
