Scope

This standard specifies the silver nitrate titration method for the determination of chloride ions in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of chloride ions in coal mine water. When a 50 mL test water sample is taken, the chloride ion content range is 5-400 mg/L. Diluting the water sample can expand the measurement range.
