This standard specifies the general technical conditions for frequency sounders. It is the general technical basis for the design, production and use of frequency sounder products, and is also the basis for formulating corresponding standards for various types of frequency sounder products. This standard applies to various frequency sounders used in field geology, hydrological survey and mine geology in various departments of coal, petroleum, geology and mining, transportation, metallurgy, and hydropower.
