Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring coalbed methane using desorption method using coal core samples during the coalfield geological exploration stage. This standard is applicable to the measurement of gas in normal drilling boreholes and underground coal cores. This standard does not apply to the measurement of gas in coal cores in severely leaking boreholes, coalbed methane eruption boreholes and underground inclined boreholes, nor does it apply to the determination of gas in rock cores.
